Middle School Music Students had the opportunity to meet virtually with a member of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band recently. Students were able to meet with Gunnary Sergeant, Chris Franke through Zoom this week in music class.
With the current coronavirus situation globally, the band is not able to do their annual tours across the United States. Connections were made to have a lesson about Music Around the World and then meet with one of these elite band members.
Students submitted questions to Gunnary Sergeant Franke, and he answered those as well as shared his experiences with the students. It was a unique encounter that all the music students enjoyed as well as a rare learning experience. We recorded the sessions and captured memories through many pictures!
