Good evening! I hope everyone has enjoyed their day off. We will be off again tomorrow due to the current road conditions. We have driven many roads on our bus routes and we have determined almost all of them would not be safe for school in the morning. We will hopefully see everyone on Friday.
Just to reiterate, there is no school tomorrow, Thursday, February 6th.

Tomorrow is the Annual Westview Spelling Bee starting at 8:30am. Congratulations to all of our classroom winners who will be participating in the event. Our school champion will go on to compete in the Joplin Globe Spelling Bee in March!
Nurse Mistee is getting some love from preschool while reminding them about the importance of hand washing. We are so thankful for our school nurse who takes care of both the students and staff here at Westview!
Congratulations to Ms. Long, who keeps our school looking great and germ free every night! The students said she is very nice, always happy and smiling, and they were very thankful for her. And we are HAPPY to have her as part of the Westview team! Thank you for all you do.

The kids were able to show off their talents Friday evening at talent show. Thank you parent group for putting this event together!
The Westview Talent Show is tomorrow evening at 6:00pm! If your child is participating in the show, please have them bring all their equipment tomorrow morning. We will start practice at 12:00pm.

**IMPORTANT FOR BUS RIDERS***
There was an important note sent home with your child today. We will be running 1 bus route next Monday and Tuesday (January 27th & 28th). The note details the times your child will be picked up.
Congratulations to Mrs. Hailey, for being voted as our Staff of the Week! The students and staff said Mrs. Hailey is nice, a good principal, she does so much for our students, and she makes school great for kids! Thank you, Mrs. Hailey, for leading us in the right direction every day!

Parent Reminders: Talent show forms DUE tomorrow & Auditions are next Monday. Volleyball sign-up forms have been given out. They are for boys and girls K-6 & due by January 31st. Students can return forms to the office.

December Student's of the Month. Students were chosen for Kindness!! New Salem rewarded them with pizza and holiday cookies.
Doors will open at 5:45 pm for the program tonight. Students will report to the music room. Do not send your children before this time, their teachers will not be available. Students will be dismissed to parents from the stage at the end. Reminder: do not park on the grass.
Tomorrow is PJ day! Make sure your PJ's follow the school dress code. Also, if you wear house shoes make sure you have shoes to wear for outside.
EAGLE will be in session tomorrow until 5:30.
Please do not wear PJ's to the Christmas program tomorrow evening. 😀
