We will be having our Valentine's parties tomorrow at 2:30! Please follow the protocols below, so that we can welcome you quickly into the building. Doors will open at 2:30. Visitors for PreK-1st grade parties will enter through the office. Visitors for 2nd-8th grade will enter through the concession stand. Children visiting must have parent supervision at all times. Per board policy, visitors must come to the entrance wearing a mask or face shield while having their temperature checked prior to being allowed into the building. If the visitor has a temperature of 100 or above they will not be allowed to enter. If no temperature, then you may remove the mask.
Brrr! It is cold outside and no thaw expected for a few days. We will be out again tomorrow, Friday, February 4, 2022. We will have another virtual day. (AMI). Please follow the directions your child's teacher has sent for these days. Make sure you are making contact and logging in with your teachers each day so you can understand the assignment. We are watching the weather closely. It is our hope that we can be in school tomorrow, but teachers are sending home Chromebooks and tablets with students today so that if the weather gets bad, we can transition to AMI days. Keep in mind, in order for your child to be counted for attendance, they MUST attend virtually per the schedule sent out by your child's teachers and COMPLETE ALL WORK AND TURN IT IN WHEN DUE. Please make contact with your child's teacher if you have an internet glitch each time you are to check in.
At this time, WE WILL BE IN SESSION TOMORROW. I will be watching the weather throughout the night. I just want you to have a back up in case we have to move to an AMI day in the morning. (There are only 3 AMI days left any days after these will be made up on Mondays. )

School WILL BE in session tomorrow. Masks or Face Shields are HIGHLY recommended. Students are REQUIRED to wear a mask on the bus. If your child has tested positive or showing symptoms of COVID and has been around someone that is positive, DO NOT send them to school. You must contact Nurse Mistee. If your child has been named as a close contact, they CAN NOT ride the bus and are required to wear a mask. Parents must contact Nurse Mistee.
URGENT! Due to staff and student absences, we will be going virtual Thursday and Friday. Students must follow the plan that their teacher sent home for virtual days. For students to be counted present for attendance they must log in to each class and complete all work. No EAGLE starting tomorrow through Monday. Our plan is to resume our normal schedule on Tuesday. Changes to this plan will be announced through our app, website, and voice messaging system. The board reviewed and amended the Westview School District Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan last night at the regularly scheduled board meeting. The plan can be found on our website under COVID-19 information. The board will review the plan again in January.
