Dear Parent/Guardian:
Your district is taking part in the Missouri School Climate and Culture Survey. Results from this survey will be used as part of the school improvement review during the 2022-2023 academic year.
Please take a few minutes to answer the survey at the link provided. Responses from all parents will be anonymously summarized and will become part of a report for the school district. The school district will use this report in the development of school improvement efforts.
If you have more than one child in school, you will receive more than one survey link. Please complete a survey for each individual child. Do not complete one survey for multiple children.
Thank you for your help.

PUBLIC INTEREST WANTED- INPUT NEEDED
If Westview would offer daycare from birth to school age would there be interest? This would be for ANY child, not just students in the Westview District. This would be a year-round daycare with a focus on social and academic readiness. If we have enough interest we will be looking into grants and programming. Please share with anyone you think is in need of daycare or possible interest. Scan the QR Code for access to the survey. We will be gathering input until March 21st

Family Movie Night!

Easter Egg Hunt and Chili Cook-Off

We have just been notified we are all clear. Again, all students and staff are fine.

ALERT! This is to notify parents that the school ihas been notified by the Newton County Sheriff's office that the sheriff's office is in pursuit of a suspect behind the school in the woods. All students are fine and are in lock down in the building. We will alert you as things change.

Westview Archery Team
It was a great day at the Carthage Archery tournament on Saturday. The team shot awesome in both events 3D and Bullseye. We had one young lady who got 3rd place in her division in 3D. Leela Slate shot a 225 out 0f 300. We are getting better and better.

Due to current road conditions and more expected weather, Westview will be utilizing our 2nd Virtual Day (AMI), tomorrow, Tuesday, January 31st.
Remember your child must follow the directions your child's teacher sent for AMI days. They must check in to all classes, complete, and return all work. If they do not then they will be counted absent.

Weather Update: I am monitoring the weather closely and will have another briefing around 12:30 or 1:00 to make final decisions. At this time, we are considering starting the bus route an hour early (2:30). I wanted to give everyone as much time as possible to make arrangements. I will send out another announcement after the weather briefing.

Let it Snow...Let it snow...Let it snow...SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
Students will be sent home with their Chromebooks/Tablets tonight JUST IN CASE we get the snow they are speculating on Tuesday. I want to make clear, we are planning on being in school, as normal, at this time but this is just a precaution in case we do have to cancel in person school due to weather on Tuesday and go to a virtual (AMI) day. Your child received Virtual Day (AMI) information in October with their schedule. Students must have contact with the teacher for each class, specials too, complete the work and send it back that day or as instructed by the teacher in order to receive credit for attendance. Please remember, Chromebooks and Tablets need to be kept charged and safe.
If there is a cancellation due to weather, I will send out a message as soon as I make that determination.
