
Come celebrate Grandparent's Day at Westview!!


Westview School has applied for a Pre-K grant (4 & 5-year-olds) and hopes to find out if awarded by late September or sooner! The School Board approved free tuition for the 4-day Pre-K class, Tuesday- Friday following the school 2023-2024 calendar until news about the grant is received.
If awarded the grant, students will be able to attend the rest of the 4-day 2023-2024 school calendar for free. If not approved, parents will have 10 days to determine if their child will continue to attend paying the fee determined by the Westview Early Explorer (WEE)Preschool & Daycare Handbook.
Parents can also enroll students in Monday classes, aftercare from 3:30 pm-5:30 pm, or year-round beginning August 21st for the fee listed in the WEE Preschool & Daycare Handbook!
Open to all students and families in the area! Space is limited! You can enroll by calling the school at 417-776-2425.

The enrollment form and $20.00 fee is due Thursday May 18th at 8am for your child to attend the summer program. No enrollments will be accepted after this deadline.

Tomorrow is the last day of school. Early dismissal is at 1pm.
Family is welcome to attend track and field day. It starts at 9am on the playground.

EXCITING NEWS!!! Westview School will be opening a preschool center for families with children from birth to Kindergarten. The Preschool is called Westview Early Explorers Preschool. Westview Early Explorers Preschool (WEE Preschool) offers quality education and childcare services in a safe and nurturing environment. WEE Preschool will effectively prepare students for Kindergarten and nurture a love for learning as they continue their education for years to come.

The School Carnival is Wednesday, May 17th from 4:30-6:30 PM. We'll have games, inflatables, a dunk tank, and a Silent Auction. As a token of our gratitude for all she does for our school, we're donating all proceeds from the carnival to our wonderful Nurse Mistee who will be having brain surgery in early June. Come out and have a great time and support a great cause!


As the school year comes to an end it is very busy with activities. Here is a short list of reminders to help keep you aware:
Today, Friday, May 12
National Nurses Day. We are thankful for our Nurse Mistee and all she does to keep our little and big humans feeling great!
Today also concludes National Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week. We are blessed with great staff at Westview! Thank you for all you do!
6-8th grade dance sponsored by the Westview Patent Group 7-8:30 pm. Bring your yearbooks to be signed. Cost is $3 (Notes were sent home earlier in the week)
Wednesday, May 17
Carnival on the playground from 4:30-6:30 PM. Tickets sales will begin on Tuesday!
Thursday, May 18
Last Day of School! Track and Field Day. Parents are welcome to attend. We will eat lunch outside and then the students are dismissed.
Monday, May 22
Summer School begins. If you have not signed up, do so now. Spaces are limited! There is a $20 field trip fee this year per child. This pays for entrance fees to the events.
Friday, June 9
Last day of Summer School
